Newton is definitely one of the geekier Android Games. The game Newton is a physics based shooting game with your target being a purple pentagon. This grid based shooter also progressively becomes more complex and more difficult as the levels progress. With the addition of pushers, pullers and deflectors this game does rapidly become quite difficult.
Graphically this is a very basic game with the blocks and shapes being efficient yet never venture near the spectacular. That being said though, the colours are vibrant and distinctive and the 3-d shapes are one of the highlights of the game,with the movement of the shapes. The presentation of the game is also keeping in vein with this, very simple and efficient but nothing that will blow you away.
The gameplay is on the borderline of a challenge and frustration. On the later levels numerous tries will be needed with each shot inching closer to the target. However, some levels can be overly frustrating with too many shots being taken to slowly move it towards the target. The choices of having pushers and pullers are good decisions because they add a layer of depth to the game, however some of the challenges can be overkill. One stroke of genius though is a level editor that is included allowing each individual to create their own challenges.
The controls add to this because the touch screen taps can sometimes be unresponsive, and different aspects of the game respond instead. When they are working though, the control system is a very good, but is hit and miss too often.

Overall this is an average game, hindered by its own weight of ideas. In the earlier levels the game is far more superior game, but the later levels and the odd controls hinder the game. Only to be downloaded by the ones interested in physics based games.
