When it comes to the android game Roboto, currently available on Android, the term ‘classic side-scroller’ is not one I would use. This is simply because, whilst it is in fact a 2D platformer, it is not a classic in the sense that it is a kin to others of its type. This is due to the fact that, in essence, this android game is crazy but in a really good way. While it does borrow a lot of elements from its predecessors, it manages to showcase them in an incredibly new way. The android game Roboto itself is awesome, you play as a mini robot who goes on a mission of intergalactic bounds.

One of the main ways in which it pushes boundaries is that it seems to be of console quality. The graphics themselves are incredibly fine tuned and pretty, and it would not seem out of place on a console as a mini game. As it stands it is certainly lovely to play on a tablet device.

Obviously one of the downsides to anything this pretty and large (it has over 30 levels, with a lot of replay value), is that it takes up a fair amount of space and runs best on a high quality processor, however any up to date touch screen phone should be able to handle it fairly well. Also this factor certainly does not detract from the overall value of the game.

Overall, the game truly needs to be seen and played for you to get an accurate impression of how incredibly fun and bizarre it is, and you will certainly not regret it. And with such a low price tag of only a few pounds, it is definitely a great purchase to make, if you are looking to pass a few hours playing a very pleasant game on your Android phone or tablet.
