The game is a classic arcade-style shooter i.e. one where you’ve got to have your finger glued to

It may all sound extremely simple, but the actual game is extremely challenging and requires quite

got a total of 5 lives to live through before it’s game over time.

It’s thrilling, it’s addictive – in short, R-Type  is everything a classic space shooter should be. The awesome retro
graphics and sound effects recreate an atmosphere that is best described as 8-bit heaven.

In itself, Chuzzle is simply a form of the game Bejewelled – you have to match similar colours in a row in order to get rid of them, and then more fall down to replace them. Considering this concept can theoretically never end, Chuzzle is interesting just how many people will play it.

And the game Chuzzle has developed this idea even more, by making the ‘jewels’ fuzzy living cute creatures, that live solely to be popped. It is this which separates this game from so many others – the living cute aspect of it works really well, and by adding many different game types it can really make you feel like it is great value for money, as you can have so much in the way of game time from it.

Chuzzle is interesting just how much time you can easily spend playing this game and never getting bored, making it a great way to simply pass the time if you are bored, as you can honestly play it again and again and it still feels fresh. And the cuteness of the game as a whole makes it one to truly try out as soon as you can, as you will certainly fall in love with them at first sight.

But what each and every game must realise is the ability to have a unique selling point, and Fieldrunners does this easily: it is within the graphics. For games on Android their visuals have never been a huge selling point – up until now. Fieldrunners HD game really can set the bar for what cartoon style graphics can do in a game, and it pays by being one of the most compelling games out there right now, at a very low cost.

The graphics are not even its sole selling point either. The sheer variety in defence that you can employ makes this quite justifiable one of the best games that money can buy for your Android phone, and you will most positively not be disappointed with your purchase.

The size of it is also a great thing to consider. With seven awesome different weapons to choose from, and a total of over 400 waves within the game, it is one of epic proportions. The best part is you do not even have to be a diehard fan of tower defence games, this app itself will show you all that there is to love about the game platform, and will make you want to play it over and over, just to have the same satisfaction of successfully fending off hordes of nasty baddies.

So even if you are new to the concept, or are a long time fan, try this out. It’s really a fun game!

The fact that Need for Speed Shift graphics are so well and truly stunning, especially on a handheld device such as an Android phone.  Simply from the screenshots you can tell that the game is going to look beautiful, and being able to play such a game on a mobile phone is astounding – it would not look out of place on a console.

Obviously Need for Speed Shift itself has selling points other than that too – the game contains 20 different, real life cars to choose from, and the circuits are also incredibly varied too. With 18 different tracks, again all in real life locations, you are getting absolutely great value for money, especially for the price.

And the size is not the only thing – the circuits themselves are so incredibly detailed that you would feel as if you are playing the game on a TV, not just wherever you want. The ability to play a game with such scope as this whenever and wherever – be it at home, with friends or even whilst commuting – really sets a great precedent for future games of its type, and hopefully will inspire others to be like it.

Overall, if you are a fan of racing games, Need for Speed Shift is definitely one for you to consider. The low price tag and brilliant visuals make it a must have.

Being one of the many puzzle-esque games available on the android store, Big Bang is both really entertaining and educational – in a fun way. Big Bang is certainly best described as more of an experience than as a game – with the ability to look through all different forms of matter and layers in the galaxy, to then do individual challenges and mini-games at each level, it is certainly one of the most interesting and different apps out there on Android.

For the price it is also amazing value. With the games themselves being incredibly fun, but also representative of how galaxies and atoms formed, it is a truly great way to pass the time without feeling like you are doing nothing productive.

But the best part is the sheer beauty of it. It is incredibly well designed and gives you a great view of how physics in the solar system works. The music that goes with it adds to the atmosphere extremely well, allowing you to simply sit back, relax and enjoy the experience that this game offers.

It also manages to teach you concepts in physics in an incredibly intuitive and fun way – no longer will you get bored stiff whilst reading about it when you can quite literally play it.

Overall this app has everything you could want in a game, allowing you to play with it for hours without getting bored, whilst being able to teach you more than you ever thought an app could.

The one thing that you obviously need to get clear is the fact that this is a mobile game, so don’t go into it expecting the same level of graphics as you would get on your computer. For that to happen the download size would need to be bigger than some phones can handle.

However that is not at all to say that the graphics are bad. Considering the platform that this is on, the graphics are really good, and a lot of the features from the original PC game are there too.

But what makes this game so great is the fact that it is so similar to its original. Whilst obviously EA have had to cut a few things out to make it more friendly to mobiles, that is not to say that there is not the full Sims experience to be had on your phone. You can still mess around with the relationships of your Sims, design your home and make an entire life for your Sims, all from the comfort of your phone.

Overall, the game is really huge on creativity, and for its price it is certainly worth taking a look at.

Of course there is also the sense of achievement in being able to beat your friends at a game, or the pride in knowing that you were able to complete The Moron Test without looking online for the answers, proving definitively once and for all that you are not, in fact, a moron.

The compelling aspect is certainly how easy it actually is, but how difficult people can find it. At the beginning you may struggle, but you will certainly become more attuned to the questions themselves, and will be able to tell the kinds of answers that are correct and those that are not, and the game certainly makes for a great way to pass the time.

All in all it is certainly worth checking out – it far exceeds other tests like it, especially those online, and the ability to start playing it at any point in time, even outside of an internet connection, makes it that much better. Whilst you may become addicted to it, once you have managed to complete it you will feel the smuggest and smartest person on earth, and then can watch with amusement as you watch your friends try and fail to do the same test.

You control a jelly type creature called Squibble, with the ability to swing, jump and slingshot through a series of enemies and challenges, in an incredibly addictive game now available on the Android Market.

Whilst you may think that there is nothing special in particular about this game, it is one of those where you really must play it first. The creature itself is adorable, and you will find yourself wanting to be able to get through the game as quickly as you can, if only to get Squibble home.  It contains a really cute story too, making you want to play it more and more, never getting bored as the levels progress.

The overall finished product is also something that the developer should be proud of. The graphics are of a cartoon style, but for what they are they are incredibly well rounded, making it really pretty to look at and immerse yourself in. The best part is the fact there are over 20 levels to play, making it really fun for a long period of time, giving you hours of gameplay for a really great price.
